Sarah Palin -- though not politically worthy to adjust the collar of a Hillary Clinton pantsuit -- has accomplished her mission. The nation's attention has shifted and she is being scrutinized. If the Republicans don't win the White House in November, the big boys (and I do think this is the boys' doing) can blame it on Palin -- their female scapegoat.
Mothers know best -- again. When Mothers Against Drunk Driving learned a group of college presidents wanted to "discuss" the 21-year-old drinking age, they moved into action.
I cringe each time I see the commercial for an Internet matchmaking service.
Never mind the lead stories and the headlines -- it's not over for the family of Kenneth Walker. And it's not over for the rest of us either.
We only have to look at headlines — especially recent ones — to see that firearms are still the leading cause of domestic violence deaths in Georgia: On June 5 in LaGrange, police say Jaquavious Tucker went to Ashley Bruce’s apartment. An argument ensued. Bruce, Tucker’s ex-girlfriend, went inside her apartment and locked the door. She then went to the living room window and told Tucker to leave. The argument escalated. Tucker pulled out a handgun and fired several shots in the air. He then pointed the weapon at Bruce and fired two shots through the open window. One shot hit her in the left hand and right side of her chest.
