Callaway Garden's Surf and Sand Spectacular scheduled for Friday

Callaway Gardens' annual Surf and Sand Spectacular is scheduled for Friday. There will be family-oriented beach activities including swimming in Robin Lake, playing miniature golf or shuffleboard, picnicking and riding paddleboats.

For a fee, you can climb the rock wall, splash around Iceberg Island or play on the huge water slide in Robin Lake.

The Florida State University's Flying High Circus will perform at 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. And at 7:30 p.m., the Swingin' Medallions will take over the stage.

The fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.

Included in the special Fourth of July ticket is admission to the Gardens' Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center, the birds of prey show and Mr. Cason's Vegetable Garden.

Tickets are $15 plus tax for adults and $7.50 plus tax for children ages 6-12. The Gardens will open at 7 a.m. and its attractions will open at 9 a.m.
