Atlanta Pride festival begins Friday

A three-day celebration of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender persons begins Friday in Atlanta. It is the Atlanta Pride festival.

The festival includes a parade, commitment ceremony, human rights exhibit and marketplace staged at tyhe Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center on Piedmont Avenue.

The parade is Sunday at 1 p.m.

The fstival will be 6 p.m. - 11 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. - 11 p.m., on Saturday and 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. on Sunday.
